NJCTE is the New Jersey affiliate organization of the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE). Entries must be nominated by your English teacher for submission

The National Council Of High School Teachers runs a prestigious yearly writing competition. A submission must be nominated by your English teacher to be submitted.

The Nancy Thorp Poetry Contest. Contest provides scholarships, prizes, and recognition for the best poems submitted by young women in their sophomore or junior year of high school.

The Society of Professional Journalists Foundation and the Journalism Education Association want to increase high school students’ knowledge and understanding of the importance of independent media to our lives. National winners of this essay contest receive scholarship awards.
